What's cooking

Busy cooking weekend over the long weekend included:

  • Porridge - TM5 Chip recipe but we blitz an apple (5 seconds/speed 5) first and put in a handful of sultanas in
  • Spiced lentil soup
  • Roast chicken, steamed vegies and popped in a cup into the varoma with some frozen garlic mushroom sauce
  • Green smoothie - kale, orange, apple, banana, coconut, chia seeds and coconut water
  • Carrot banana and coconut muffins (Jude blereau wholefood for children)
  • Pumpkin soup - Roasted pumpkin then follow the TM5 chip recipe with additions of garlic, celery, sweet potato and a selection of herbs
  • Double batch of skinnymixers madras sauce, cooked one with chicken and frozen off the second for a slow cooked beef version in the future (A Little Taste of Indian booklet)
  • Skinnymixers Indian cauliflower rice (A Little Taste of Indian booklet)
  • Spinach & cheese naan bread
  • Quirky apple & berry crumble (Quirky cookbook)
  • Vegie stock paste concentrate  (BCB)
  • Meatballs with tomato sauce (BCB) for the kidlets
